“What’s your book about?” For many writers, this is one of the hardest questions to answer. At our meeting on Thursday, February 8th, marketing expert Beth Jusino will help you to learn how to craft the perfect pitch that distills your work and make everyone from agents and publishers to family and friends want to read it.
During this session, Beth will help you see your fiction with fresh eyes and a business-based perspective. You will identify what makes your work unique, marketable, and irresistible; then draft your pitch, based on examples and feedback from Beth, and practice pitching it.. This chance to practice will be especially valuable for those planning to meet agents and publishers at upcoming conferences, but all writers can benefit from becoming more comfortable talking about their work.
Beth Jusino has more than 20 years of experience in publishing and marketing and is author of the award-winning The Author’s Guide to Marketing (Sharper Words Press, 2014) and a travel memoir Walking to the End of the World (Mountaineers Books, 2018). This workshop will take place from 7 to 8:30 PM in the Stadler Room at Third Place Commons, 17171 Bothell Way NE, Lake Forest Park.
