Congratulations to:

  • Kerri Hakoda on the release of Too Deep To Cross, the sequel to her Edgar Award-nominated debut thriller Cold To The Touch, which will be released May 26 and is available for preorder now. It again features multi-racial Anchorage Homicide Detective DeHavilland Beans, this time with an officer-involved shooting and a grisly discovery bringing him back to his Yukon River hometown of Galena, Alaska—and a long-cold missing person case evolves into a homicide investigation. One in which Beans finds himself a reluctant participant and possible suspect. From Kirkus Reviews—“Even as the past recedes, its lessons continue to shadow the present. An ambitious contemporary crime novel.”
  • Gail Bellenger on her new release, Blood on the Mounds, A Pacific Northwest Crime Thriller, coming May 15, 2026, which takes place in and around Olympia and the mysterious Mima Mounds! The ebook is currently available for preorder. Also check out her flash fiction published by the Literary Underground (it’s dystopian, not crime fiction, Gail informs us) at The Workhouse by Sofia Diana Gabel – The Literary Underground.
