Congratulations and welcome to our 2020 officers! Beginning this month Luanne Brown, President; Charlotte Stuart, Vice President; and Curt Colbert, Treasurer will assume the leadership of the Puget Sound chapter.
President Luanne Brown said, “In running for president of PugetSound SinC, I hope to maintain the steady growth of the chapter and explore innovative ways to identify and serve the evolving needs of our members.”
Luanne is a highly respected senior copywriter and content strategist for Microsoft, Intel, and other clients, as well as a journalist, screenwriter, novelist, and lover of reading mysteries. She brings extensive experience to her new role having served as a founder and longtime board member of the Northwest Screenwriters Guild and has worked with other non-profit and volunteer-based groups like Refugee Welcome Mats.’ She expects to publish her first novel, ONCE IN A PINK MOON, this year.
Charlotte Stuart published her first mystery, SURVIVAL CAN BE DEADLY, in October. Her second mystery, WHY ME? Chimeras, Conundrums and Dead Goldfish, will be available mid-January. She began her career in academia teaching communications and has been a management consultant, VP of HR and Training, and in charge of leadership development at several organizations.
Curt Colbert is the author of the Jake Rossiter & Miss Jenkins series – RAT CITY, nominated for a Shamus Award for Best First P.I. novel of 2001; SAYONARAVILLE; and QUEER STREET – as well as the recent All ALONG THE WATCHTOWER, featuring Matt Rossiter (Jake’s son!). He also published the Barking Detective mysteries in collaboration with Waverly Fitzgerald (as Waverly Curtis).
