Pamela Beason will be on a panel on “How Extreme Settings Take on Their Own Character” at Left Coast Crime in San Diego, CA, Mar 12-15.

Curt Colbert served as host at the SinC/Third Place Books-sponsored launch of Waverly Fitzgerald’s HARD RAIN at Third Place Books, LFP on Feb 13. More than 65 people turned out for this launch/memorial celebration for Waverly, whose PI Rachel Stern novel is a “parallel mystery” to Curt’s ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER.

Robert Herold contributed to an anthology of Paranormal, Horror, and Sci-Fi published by The Wild Rose Press as a fundraiser for relief in Australia. AUSTRALIA BURNS: SHOW AUSTRALIA SOME LOVE is a three-volume series; and Bob’s story appears in Vol 3.  He was also part of the Author’s Corner at the Winter Market in Redmond on Sat–Sun, Feb 8–9, signing (and selling!) copies of his new book, THE EIDOLA PROJECT.

Linda Hope Lee’s cozy mystery, SECRETS TO DIE FOR, Book 2 in the Nina Foster Mystery Series, was released on Feb 3 by The Wild Rose Press. She held a meet-the-author event at Edmonds Library on Tue, Feb 18, where she discussed both the new book and Book 1, MURDER BETWEEN THE PAGES.

Erica Miner will be discussing “Wagner, Opera, and Bernstein” on Mar 3 and 10, 1–3 pm, at the Edmonds Community College, Lynnwood campus. She will also give pre-concert lectures on “Richard Strauss: from tone poem to opera” at Benaroya Hall, on Mar 19 and 21, 6:30 and 7 pm.

Candace Robb revealed the title and cover of the 12th Owen Archer mystery, A CHOIR OF CROWS this month. It will be published by Severn House in the UK on June 30 and in the US on Oct 6.

Laurie Rockenbeck will participate in a panel on “Crime Fiction and Reality: How do today’s headlines impact fiction?” at Left Coast Crime in San Diego, CA on Mar 12–15.

Charlotte Stuart will give her presentation “Getting Serious about Humor: Murder Mysteries that Bump Your Funny Bone” on Whidbey Island at the  Oak Harbor Library on Mar 19, 3 pm, and the Langley Library on Mar 26, 6:30 pm.

Elena (Hartwell) Taylor will hold a Facebook Party on Tue, Apr 7, 5-7 pm PDT, to celebrate the release of ALL WE BURIED: A SHERIFF BET RIVERS MYSTERY (Crooked Lane Books).  The party can be accessed from anywhere, so join in! Also save-the-date for her live launch party at Third Place Books, Lake Forest Park, on Sat, Apr 11, 6 pm. Details to come next month!

Marty Wingate will appear at the Bibury Literary Festival in Gloucestershire, UK on Mar 29 with author Hannah Dennison, discussing American readers’ love of mysteries set in Britain. In other news, she has signed with Alcove Press, a new women’s fiction imprint from Crooked Lane Books, for a standalone historical fiction, GLAMOUR GIRLS.
