Welcome to new member Maren Halvorsen.
Congratulations to:
Kathleen Easley, whose romantic suspense novel, Under the Apple Tree, was included in Kirkus Reviews‘ list of 28 Indies Worth Discovering! Also in the news, Kathy’s series The Brenna Wickham Haunted Mysteries has recently been recorded by RB Media and is now available in audio format.
Kathleen Kaska, whose short story “The Diary of Simone Lablanc” made the short list for the Chanticleer Sea Shorts award.
Susan Nolen, for two wonderful pieces of news. Her short story “Anniversary Gifts” was a winner in the fiction category at Write On the Sound! And she has signed a contract with The Wild Rose Press for her debut novel, which was a winner in the historical fiction category of the 2025 PNWA Unpublished contest. In a 14th-century English village, murder, sabotage, and ale-brewing combine as a widow battles the village patriarchy to keep her brewery and autonomy.
Cindy Sample on the release of All’s Faire in Love and Murder, book two in the Spindrift Cove humorous mystery series set in fictional Spindrift Cove, Washington. Our member Charlotte Stuart says of the book, “Middle-aged entertainer Sierra Sullivan didn’t expect her Renaissance Faire gig to turn deadly. But when it does, she can’t resist trying to track down the killer. Filled with laugh-out-loud antics, plot twists, and Faire flair, this is the perfect cozy for fans of quirky whodunits and Renaissance revelry.”
