CONGRATS to 11 authors with 14 books published in 2019! Books by the following authors were displayed as part of our exhibit at the Pacific Northwest Writers Conference on Sep 13–14: Cynthia Blair (Cynthia Baxter), Jeffrey D. Briggs, Leslie Budewitz, Curt Colbert, Waverly Fitzgerald, Susan McCormick, Pat Pritchard (Alexis Morgan), Candace Robb, Laurie Rockenbeck, Tracy Weber, and Marty Wingate.

Thanks to 5 volunteers who staffed our exhibit at the PNWA conference: Alice K. Boatwright, Louise Creighton, Roxanne Dunn, Sarah Niebuhr Rubin, and Marty Wingate. 

Peggy Barnett is exhibiting work from her 40-year career as a photographer at Longevity Foods in Duvall. The opening reception will be on Sun Oct. 6, 1–4pm at Longevity Foods, 14701 Main St. NE Duvall, WA 98019. All are welcome. 

Alice K. Boatwright will read from the new edition of her first book, COLLATERAL DAMAGE, on Sat, Oct 19, 6 pm at Third Place Books/LFP. 

Jeffrey D. Briggs held his first author event for OUT OF THE COLD DARK SEA on Tues, Sep 24 at Third Place Books/Lake Forest Park. Upcoming events are at Third Place Books, Seward Park on Wed, Oct 9. 7 pm and Edmonds Bookshop, Sat, Oct 19, at noon. 

Curt Colbert will talk about ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER, the first book in his new Matt Rossiter series, at Elliott Bay Bookstore on Sun, Oct 20, at 3 pm and Third Place Books/LFP on Sun, Nov 10 at 6 pm. The book will be published on Oct 8th. 

Curt Colbert, Erica Miner, and Alice K. Boatwright will be panelists for “It’s a Mystery to Me” hosted by the Friends of the Edmonds Library on Thu, Oct 24 at 6 pm in the library’s Plaza Room. This event is free and open to the public. 

Ramona Gault was a Mystery–Thriller category finalist in the PNWA writing competition for her work-in-progress, NOSY WOMAN.

Susan McCormick will have a book signing and dessert event to launch her first mystery, THE FOG LADIES, on Sun, Nov 10, 7 pm, Third Place Books/Seward Park. The book’s release date is Oct 9. 

Erica Miner will give a class at Edmonds Community College on “Let’s Go to the Opera.” Sessions on Oct 3 and 17 will focus on Rossini’s opera Cenerentola (Cinderella) which will be performed by the Seattle Opera. 

Pat Pritchard AKA Alexis Morgan‘s Death by Jack-O’-Lantern is a September release. It’s the second book in the Abby McCree Mysteries from Kensington.

Candace Robb will be on a “Paths to Publication” panel at Write on the Sound on Sun, Oct 6. She recently launched her 11th Owen Archer mystery, A CONSPIRACY OF WOLVES, at Third Place Books/LFP. 

Marty Wingate will launch THE BODIES IN THE LIBRARY, the first book in her new First Edition Library series on Tue, Oct 8, 7 pm at Third Place Books/LFP.
