Alice K. Boatwright will talk about her new chapbook of stories, SEA, SKY, ISLANDS, at Island Books on Mercer Island on Sun, Sep 22, at 4 pm. She will also be giving a presentation on “The All-Important Page One” at the Write on the Sound Conference in Edmonds on Sat, Oct 6th.

Jeffrey D. Briggs will hold an author event for his Seattle Waterfront Mystery, OUT OF THE COLD DARK SEA, at Third Place Books, Lake Forest Park, on Tues, Sept 24 at 7 pm.

Curt Colbert‘s first book in his new Watchtower series, ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER, will be published on Oct 8th.

Waverly Fitzgerald will moderate a panel on pathways to publication at the Write on the Sound Conference on Sun, Oct 7, with Candace Robb and Kira Jane Buxton.

Jane Isenberg will talk about MURDER IN THE MELTING POT at the Issaquah Library on Sat, Sept 14th at 2 pm. She’ll discuss what inspired her to set her book in the Yakima Valley and why she has begun writing stand-alones set in Seattle’s Jewish communities.

Susan McCormick‘s first mystery, THE FOG LADIES, will be released on Oct 9th by Wild Rose Press. You can also listen to an interview on Dialogue, Between the Lines, on Oct 8 at 10 am.

Candace Robb will launch the US edition of her 11th Owen Archer mystery, A CONSPIRACY OF WOLVES on Tue, Sept 17, 7 pm at Third Place Books, Lake Forest Park. This event will also include a celebration of Agatha Christie’s birthday with Alice K. Boatwright and Marty Wingate joining Candace to talk about Christie and her influence on their work.

Sarah Niebuhr Rubin‘s short story “Living Kaddish” is a finalist in the fiction category for the 2019 Tiferet Writing Prize. Winners will be announced in the fall. Tiferet is a journal fostering peace through literature and art.

Elena (Hartwell) Taylor‘s new Sheriff Bet Rivers Mystery series will launch with ALL WE BURIED on April 7, 2020. It is being published by Crooked Lane Books.

Marty Wingate will hold a book launch at Third Place Books, Lake Forest Park on Tue, Oct 8th at 7 pm: publication day for the hardcover and ebook editions of THE BODIES IN THE LIBRARY! This is the first book in her new First Edition Library series published by Berkley.
